How a school test in computer science inspired me to create an educational project

It all started with observing the school curriculum of my daughter, a 7th-grader at a Ukrainian school. As a person who understands the subject, I could not help but notice how many empty topics there were in her computer science curriculum. Every time I looked through another lesson or assignment, I repeated to her that with such an approach it was impossible to grasp the basics of computer literacy. After all, computer science is not just a subject, it is the key to understanding modern reality.

The culmination of my frustration was one of her tests, in which the “most important” question was: “How do I add an email to my address book?” This is in the 7th grade! My patience snapped. At first, I was indignant and critical, but then I remembered the old truth: “If you criticize, suggest; if you suggest, do it.” This is how the idea of creating my own computer science training program was born .

Speed and Reliability: Why SSDs Are Displacing HDDs

In today’s world of technology, data storage plays a key role. As technology advances, users are faced with a choice between traditional hard drives (HDD) and modern solid-state drives (SSD). In this article, we will look at both technologies, their benefits, and explain why SSDs are becoming the preferred choice for video editing and hosting.

HDD: The Traditional Approach to Data Storage

Hard disk drives (HDD) use mechanical components to read and write data. They consist of rotating platters and magnetic heads. The main advantages of HDDs include: (more…)

Inverters for Uninterruptible Power: Operating Principle, Types and Solutions for Your Home

Inverters for Uninterruptible Power: Operating Principle, Types and Solutions for Your Home

How does an inverter work?

An inverter is a device that converts direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC). This is necessary because most household and commercial electrical appliances operate on alternating current. The inverter operates on the principle of using a transformer and electronic circuits that control the process of voltage conversion.

Types of inverters and varieties

  1. Pure Sine Wave : Produces pure sine wave output voltage, ideal for all types of electronics and electrical appliances. (more…)

Everything you need to know about AGM batteries: Technology, Comparison and Benefits

Autonomous power supply and reliability of power sources are important aspects for many users. There are many types of batteries on the market, but AGM batteries deserve special attention due to their unique characteristics and advantages. In this article, we will look at AGM technology, compare it with conventional lead-acid batteries and LiFePO4 batteries, and pay special attention to the Redbo 6-RB-100 12V 100Ah model .

What is an AGM battery?

AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) is a lead-acid battery technology that uses an absorbent glass mat to hold the electrolyte. Unlike conventional lead-acid batteries, AGM batteries do not have a liquid electrolyte, making them safer and more reliable.

How AGM batteries work

AGM batteries consist of glass mats sandwiched between lead plates that absorb and hold the electrolyte. This provides several key benefits: (more…)

Innovation in Solar Energy: How Modern Technologies Increase the Efficiency and Power of Solar Panels

Innovation in Solar Energy: How Modern Technologies Increase the Efficiency and Power of Solar Panels

Manufacturing process:

  1. Raw Materials: Starts with refining silica sand to produce pure silicon. Pure silicon is used to create ingots that will form the basis of solar panels.
  2. Wafer manufacturing: Silicon ingots are sliced into thin wafers of about 180-200 micrometers. This step requires high precision to minimize material loss.
  3. Wafer Treatment: The wafers are chemically treated and surface textured to reduce light reflection. This increases the amount of light absorbed by the cell.
  4. Cell formation: Anti-reflective coatings and conductive contacts are applied to the plates. PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) technology is used, which includes passivation of the front and rear surfaces of the cell, which reduces charge recombination and increases efficiency. (more…)
